The Wild Hyacinth also known as Dichelostemma Capitatum lives by the bank of rivers in illinois. The plant has a edible bulb under the ground the rest of the plant is not. The corm grows 60 cm tall and it has two to three leaves. The leaves are 20-40 cm long. The wild hyacinth normally has 2 to 15 flowers. the flowers tube is 3-12 cm. Black bears,Moles,Deer,Pigs,Rabbits and Pocket Gophers all eat the corms.
